Volunteering At courageous hearts

courageous heARTS relies on volunteers to pursue its vision that youth will discover, heal, and strengthen their hearts so they can thrive as active, engaged and courageous members of their community.  Opportunities vary from time-limited and event specific work to on-going mentoring and facilitation roles.  Please review the job descriptions below for more information about the expectations of each.

We are committed to ensuring that our participants are surrounded by caring, engaged and dedicated volunteers. Completing the registration form below is the first step to becoming a heARTS volunteer. Our selection process may also include submission an application and resume, participating in an interview, and passing a background check.  

Current Opportunities

Helping Hands
  • Serve as a Youth Mentor during our after school classes.  Our first quarter starts September 9th.  See position description above for more information about this role.  
  • We're collaborating with Kinship to host an Art Event on Thursday, Nov. 14.  We're looking for Creative Guides to facilitate Creation Stations for this one-time opportunity.  We ask volunteers to help with set-up at 5:30 and stay until 7:30 for clean-up.  
  • Grant writing, bookkeeping, and evaluation support are needs as we continue to build our capacity for this work.
